Nashville Public Library

When you enter the Children's area, this is the first item you see. Don't forget to return your books!

This is a cool multimedia installation inspired by the city of Nashville. The artist is RED GROOMS. Click on his name to learn more about his work.

They had me at Climbing Wall. Need I say more?
Whoever has to mop the library foyer should be paid                         extra. It is huge!

San Juan Capistrano Regional Library

This library is special because of this cool top!
View a slide show of its design here

These children look so good! The library has cool black and white photos of the local population.

To the left and right are hidden book nooks!

I like the kids area because many books are in Spanish, and I am a Spanish speaker.  The sign on the wall
reads: "Read to Win!"

Los Angeles Central Library

This is my favorite part of Los Angeles Central Library. There are three chandeliers in the atrium.
They are made of fiberglass and aluminum.  The ceiling is superhigh, but I am not afraid of heights!

Here is the section of the library devoted to international languages and literature.  There are cool murals on the wall and this half statue called a "bust" of Khalil Gibran, a Lebanese poet.

The Children's Literature Department is MASSIVE.  It is home to 250,000 books including fairy tales, poetry, picture books, a theater and a computer center featuring Kids' Path to help with homework.

  • That is  not a good Idea
  • Imani's Music
  • Enzo Races in the Rain
  • Five Goats in a Truck

Beverly Hills Public Library

Side entrance to the Beverly Hills Public Library. This is right next to the Coffee and Snack Bar. They have great snacks like Rice Krispies treats and frozen gelato bars which I like to eat on the patio across from the Beverly Hills Fire Department!
