This is my favorite part of Los Angeles Central Library. There are three chandeliers in the atrium.
They are made of fiberglass and aluminum. The ceiling is superhigh, but I am not afraid of heights!
Here is the section of the library devoted to international languages and literature. There are cool murals on the wall and this half statue called a "bust" of
Khalil Gibran, a Lebanese poet.
The Children's Literature Department is MASSIVE. It is home to 250,000 books including fairy tales, poetry, picture books, a theater and a computer center featuring
Kids' Path to help with homework.
